WHAT WE SUPPORT
WHAT WE SUPPORT
Genesis Mini Grants
PVEF provides funds for teachers to purchase resources to implement innovative learning experiences in their classroom. Teachers apply through a competitive grant process to access funds. Some examples of funded projects include: Artist in residence, robotics for computer coding, and furnishings to create a unique student study area. Click here to learn more and apply.
Student Activities & Athletics
We are committed to enriching the school experience for PV students by providing resources for uniforms, equipment, travel, and classroom or field improvements. Recent donor directed gifts have placed electronic time clocks on the football field and replaced a flag pole on the baseball field.
Scholarships & Awards
More than thirty outstanding student scholars and athletes benefit annually from scholarships and awards established through the Foundation. The size and number of awards given continues to grow due to the generosity of donors who wish to recognize student achievement. For a complete list of scholarships & awards click here.
PV Alumni Activities
Fifty Year alumni are invited to participate in the Penns Valley Area High School graduation ceremony. Prior to the ceremony, the Foundation hosts a reception in their honor. This event gives alumni an opportunity to reconnect with classmates, tour facilities, meet students and staff and learn about school life today.
Special Projects
The Foundation provided funds to purchase high tech equipment to assist student learning in new ways. RGB LED stage lighting was added to the auditorium to enhance musical and theatre productions and expand student knowledge about how to operate those systems. The One Button Studio, a media recording laboratory was installed in the library/media center. It enables students to record the morning announcements, create podcast recordings, media advertising projects and more.
